    Skill education

     In alignment with #NEP2020, schools across Chandigarh organised exposure to skill education activities for students of Classes VI to VIII, offering hands-on and real-life learning experiences.

    Through diverse activities related to life forms, machines and materials and human services, students engaged in food preparation and service, retail settings, IT and technical facilities, craft and pottery work, embroidery and basic automobile demonstrations, supported by interactions with practitioners and resource persons.
    This experiential approach helps students connect classroom learning with real-world applications, develop respect for skilled work and build early awareness of diverse learning and career pathways.

    I started my career as an Assistant in the accounts department and was soon promoted to be an Officer. Within a year I joined a startup as a Manager. Soon the pressure of Managing the team got better of me and had to quit. I restarted my career as an Assistant and realized the mistakes and the skills I need to build to be a successful manager. Within a year I became the Head of the department and have been leading the team for the past 18 years.

    In my professional career spanning over 25 years, I had the opportunity of working at different levels and functional areas. As part of my job I was interacting with academicians, consultants, and directors, and CEOs of various Multinational organizations in the country, their advice, guidance, and support helped me to evolve as a Manager. 

    I am a commerce graduate from Punjab University, Chandigarh. I did my MBA from IIMS, Calcutta. I have also done my Masters in Finance and Control from Punjab University, Chandigarh. I completed my Masters in Computer Application in 2018

    I am no Guru or an expert, just a learner in the process. I have been nurturing my dream of writing a book and share my thoughts and ideas with the world.

    Swami Vivekananda and the Youth of India: A Vision for Today

    Introduction

    Swami Vivekananda, the fiery monk of India, once declared: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.” His words continue to echo across generations, especially for the youth of India who stand at the crossroads of modern challenges and eternal values. In today’s scenario, where health concerns, drug abuse, career pressures, and cultural erosion threaten young minds, Vivekananda’s teachings offer a guiding light—anchoring them in spirituality, ethics, and responsibility towards society and the environment.

     Health and Drugs

    • Physical vitality: Vivekananda emphasized strength—“You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through the Bhagavad Gita.” He believed a healthy body is the foundation of a strong mind.

    • Drug menace: Today, many youths fall prey to substance abuse. Vivekananda’s call for discipline and self-control reminds us that true freedom lies in mastery over desires, not in slavery to addictions.

    • Preventive care: Balanced diet, yoga, and meditation—rooted in Indian tradition—are practical tools to fight stress and maintain holistic health.

    NCF 2020's- GOALS

    🌐 Language Education

    The goal of language education in NCF 2020 is to develop multilingual proficiency by encouraging students to learn at least three languages, with emphasis on the mother tongue/regional language in early years. It aims to build strong communication skills, cultural appreciation, and critical thinking through literature, creative writing, and oral traditions. Language learning is seen not just as a tool for communication but as a means to nurture identity, empathy, and national integration.

    🔢 Mathematics

    Mathematics education focuses on conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills rather than rote memorization. The framework emphasizes experiential learning, connecting math to real-life situations like budgeting, measurements, and data analysis.
