"E-WASTE TO ECO-WASTE: RESPONSIBLE ELECTRONICS MANAGEMENT THROUGH 5R"

This is an excellent experiential learning project aligned with

Mission LiFE, Swachh Bharat, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 12),

and the 5R Principle (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle).

for

Classes I-XII.

Students:
If you really do not find an e-waste device at home to bring to school
on 26-10-2026
DO MAKE A POSTER ON E-WASTE MANAGEMENT
and bring it to school
As is directed by your ART TEACHER.

Project Vision

To develop environmentally responsible students who understand the impact of electronic waste and actively participate in its safe collection, segregation, awareness generation, and scientific disposal through the 5R approach.

Project Mission

To establish a student-led e-waste management system in the school where students learn the complete lifecycle of e-waste from identification and collection to recycling and responsible disposal.

Project Duration

4-6 Weeks

Can be conducted annually or every semester.

Theme

"Don't Trash It, Recycle It"

or

"From E-Waste to Green Future"

Learning Objectives

Students will:

  1. Understand what e-waste is.
  2. Identify common e-waste found at home.
  3. Learn hazards of improper e-waste disposal.
  4. Practice the 5R principles.
  5. Develop waste segregation skills.
  6. Understand circular economy concepts.
  7. Participate in environmental action.
  8. Build leadership and teamwork skills.

Expected Student Contributions

Students may bring ONLY small non-hazardous e-waste items such as:
