AGENDA POINTS - LIBRARY ANNUAL REPORT
–2018-19
LIBRARY Works effectively and efficiently by undertaking
every activity in a professional manner and meets 98% check points of KVS Inspection Performa
for libraries.
STATUS OF LIBRARY INFRASTRUCTURE-
1.
Library Follows KVS Policy and guidelines on infrastructure building
and Provides Pro Active Library Services. It is
· Fully air conditioned
· Follows Open access system
· Automated using E- Granthalaya
· Bar coded for Ease and time
management
· Having a seating capacity of 75 +.
· Having two computer systems.
· A laser printer
· A bar code printer/reader
· An Audio speaker system.

Vidyalaya Library has a rich collection of

Titles (121 copies) per month.

· OPAC- is under process and will be operational
as soon as L A N connection is done for both the Library systems.
Arrangement of the Books:
1.
Reference Books are arranged in three different shelves as per language and
subject and text books are as per classes .

Other books arranged according to DDC.

Issue System:
1.
Books are issued to the students using e-granth Software and bar coded library cards.
2.
Two books are issued at a time to the students. However library committee had
raised the limit for students/ teachers up to 5/10 at a time if demand arises
subject to the discretion of librarian /committee.
3.
Students use their library card to get periodicals and the specimen copies
issued.
4.
Every class from VI-XII is allotted at least ONE library periods
per week, apart from this arrangement periods are given when other teachers
are on leave etc.

The students can

Use the library

Read newspapers and magazines,
·
Consult reference books and
·
Get the the books issued during
their library periods.
·
Books can be returned to the
library at any time before due date.
·
Besides the students may
utilize the library during their free time provided
No other class is having a library period at that time and with prior
approval of subject teacher concerned for their period.
Reference
Books
Reference
books like encyclopedias and dictionaries are not be issued. These can be
consulted in the library during the library periods. However, for the purpose
project work and special assignments the students may get these books issued
on request from the teacher concerned over weekends only.
Magazines/Periodicals
Latest
issues of the magazines are not be issued. The old issued of magazines and
periodicals can be issued for two / three days/ weekends only.
Class
Libraries
The primary sections from
Class 1-5 are having class libraries. The class teachers are provided with
enough number of books as per the level, which may be utilized during the
library periods. Magazines/ cds for the primary section are separately
provided.
Recommended Activities of class
Library
1. Class
teacher is the I/ C of Class Library .
2. Displaying
books attractively in the class.
3. Keeping
Multiple Copies of magazines.
4. Planning Primary Student Tour to main Library.
5. Setting up Reading Corner in Primary/ Resource Room.
6. Setting up Hanging Libraries –I to III.
7. Book
issue with caution to IV- V.
8. Record
keeping of Books read by Students.
9. Record
of Books taken from Main Library.
10.
Returning
old and Taking Fresh lot of
books every quarter

Statistics :-
The Chairman Emphasized to get the
Library resources assessed time to time from the faculty members and the
users so as to keep the Library updated and as per needs and interests of the
users.
To start The Hindu in school and
The Hindu young world Weekly newspapers in the library for secondary as well
as for primary Library from the next session.
Librarian informed that significant
purchase in the following subject areas of books is needed for balanced
collection development i.e. English Fiction, Art and Craft, Story cards,
Social science, Health education, physics, chemistry and geography etc. Hence
due care will be taken in the next financial year despite the Raj Bhasha
constraints.

Annual Library Activity Plan (
ALAP_2019-20)
Library follows a Systematic Approach as per the KVS
Library Policy for the purpose of split Up and Lesson plan. ALAP for the year
2019-20 is proposed for approval by
the committee.
Stock
Check 2018-19: Is
completed and no of books are weeded
out/ proposed for write off.
Requisition
For Consumables: Requisition
for consumables needed was given in March 2019 and the same is again approved.
Magazines
– News papers 2019-20: Detailed list of Newspapers and magazines is attached for approval.
· Any other point with the permission
of chairperson
Mr. Bhupendra Burahdiya PGT. CS, requested
to procure books of the Computer Science in the light of Complete Change in
Computers Science syllabus and Librarian Requested Chairman To depute assistance
in Library in place of Mr.
Nafe Singh (sub staff).
No other point so Meeting ended
with vote of thanks by member secretary to Chairperson and all the members at
………………. hrs. Members Present, signed
and approved the minutes of this meeting.
