Hands-On Learning for Future Makers- NEP 2020

The Back Ground: SKILL HOUSE: OUTDOOR: Hands-On Learning for Future Makers- NEP 2020 


Instead of only collecting waste, students create a complete circular economy system within the school. 

Waste generated by students, teachers, and the community is converted into useful products, educational resources, and income-generating items.

Objectives

  1. Reduce school waste by at least 50%.
  2. Promote environmental responsibility.
  3. Develop entrepreneurship and vocational skills.
  4. Integrate STEM, Art, and Sustainability education.
  5. Create a self-sustaining green campus.

  6. Innovative Components

    1. Smart Waste Segregation Stations

    • QR-code enabled bins.
    • Students scan and record waste deposited.
    • Houses/classes earn Green Points.
    • Monthly leaderboard displayed.

    2. Plastic-to-Product Lab

    Collected plastic waste is converted into:

    • Eco-bricks
    • Plant pots
    • Desk organizers
    • Bird feeders
    • Decorative items

    3. Organic Waste Bio-Cycle Unit
