HISTORY OF THE INDIAN AIR FORCE
The Indian Air Force started in 1932 with just six officers and four small planes. Over the years, it has grown into one of the strongest air forces in the world. From the Indo-Pak wars to rescue missions during floods and earthquakes, the IAF has always protected the nation with pride.
The IAF's motto is "Nabha Sparsham Deeptam", which means "Touch the Sky with Glory." It comes from the Bhagavad Gita and reflects the Air Force's courage, discipline, and dedication to the nation.
Today, the IAF is using modern aircraft, drones, and advanced technology to make India's defence stronger. Air Force Day 2025 celebrates not just their power, but also their promise to keep India safe always and forever.
CELEBRATIONS ACROSS INDIA
The main celebration happens at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad or another important air station. People witness amazing aerobatic shows, parades, and fly-pasts by fighter jets like the Rafale, Sukhoi-30MKI, Tejas, and Mirage 2000.
