CIET is a premiere national institute of educational technology. Its major aim is to promote utilization of educational technologies viz. radio,TV,   films, Satellite communications and cyber media either separately or in combinations, The institute undertakes activities to widen educational opportunities, promote equity and improve quality of educational processes at school level.

Let’s fight with COVID -19, Stay Safe and Learn through Alternative Academic Calendar (AAC)

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is the National Coordinator for DTH TV channel #31 i.e. “Kishore Manch”. Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) develops and transmits contents related to students, teachers from classes 1 to 12 for 6 hours which gets repeated 3 times to make it 24X7 Channel. During the crises of COVID-19 and locked down conditions, telecast of contents and telecast timings has been extended and made flexible.
For students, teachers, teacher educators and parents who do not have access to the internet connectivity, the DTH-TV networks are being utilized during lock down due to COVID-19 outbreak. Breaking the limitations COVID-19 outbreak, NCERT has utilized online platform to telecast of live interactive programs on Swayam Prabha DTH Channel ‘Kishore Manch’ (#31) w.e.f. 7th April 2020. Now, the subject experts are able to connect to the students through the Live telecast of educational contents on SWAYAMPRABHA through an online platform from their home. Overall, 10 live interactive programs (8 curriculum-based content, 1 Live Interaction - Webinar and 1 Live Session on Mental Health and Well-Being of Children : “SAHYOG” ) with a total duration of 7 and half hours programme are being telecast on daily basis.
