Five hours Online Training on “Blended Learning” from 11th – 15th September 2023, 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm – reg.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

With an emphasis on holistic and flexible learning, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recognizes the significance of technology-enabled education to bridge gaps, ensure access and enhance the quality of learning experiences. The relevance of blended learning aligns seamlessly with NEP 2020's vision for transforming education in India. Blended learning, which combines traditional classroom instruction with online elements, directly addresses the NEP's call for a multidisciplinary and skill-oriented approach. NEP suggests harnessing the potential of blended mode for the training of Special Educators (Para 5.21), offering Teacher Education and Higher Education courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) (Para 5.23 and Para 10.10 respectively) and Adult Education (Para 21.10). Overall, the NEP 2020's forward-looking principles align with blended learning's capacity to modernize education, making it a relevant and promising strategy for the educational landscape in India. With reference to the above context, the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET-NCERT) is organizing an online training series on ‘NEP 2020: Recommendations on ET & ICT’ every second week of the month from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday to orient the stakeholders on the recommendations of NEP 2020 in leveraging digital technology. As a part of the series for the month of September 2023, CIET-NCERT is organizing five hours online training on “Blended Learning” from 11th - 15th September 2023 from 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm. The sessions will enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, administrators and other stakeholders on the concept, need & scope and adjuvant areas of blended learning. The online training will be live telecasted on NCERT official YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/c/NCERTOFFICIAL and also be simulcasted through PM eVidya DTH TV channels numbered #6-12 and Jio TV mobile app. A Post-Session Quiz will be conducted and the participants scoring 70% and above will be certified (Certificates will be issued within one month of the training). Therefore, the States/UTs are requested to share the information about this online training programme organized by CIET-NCERT with all the faculties, teachers, teacher educators, students and other stakeholders. Kindly share the attached banner and information brochure with the stakeholders and same may also be disseminated through websites/ social media posts/ instant messenger groups etc. All information regarding this event is accessible at the below link Webpage Link: https://ciet.nic.in/bl.php
