Chitkara University Hosts National Seminar on “The Future of Libraries in the Era of AI” in Collaboration with RRRLF
Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, through its Tagore Library, in collaboration with the Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF) under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, successfully organized a National Seminar on “The Future of Libraries in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”. The seminar served as a pivotal platform for dialogue on the evolving role of libraries in the digital age, drawing participation from over 110 library professionals, academicians, researchers, and students from across India.
The seminar was graced by Prof. Ajay Pratap Singh, Director General of the National Library of India and the RRRLF, who addressed the gathering as Chief Guest. The seminar featured esteemed resource persons, including Dr. Rajnish Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh; Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Economist and Founder of “Needonomics”; Prof. Pawan Garga, Himachal Pradesh University Business School; Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar, University of Kashmir; and Viney Khurana, Director, Professional Development Centre, Chitkara University. Their participation enriched the seminar with diverse perspectives and expertise.
