First time in the world, this initiative has been takento educate our Young students about our country from Tourism perspective. It will make them aware of our tourist destination, the history behind and the contribution of tourism in the development of our country. Every student in India should be inquisite,explore more and be the brand ambassador of tourism.
To be conducted on a National level,Indian Tourism Olympiad will also encourage Parents to become sensitive to tourist places, monuments, culture, hosptality and food that attracts both domestic and international tourists.

Why Tourism? More than Academics
Tourism freindly countries are the most peace loving destinations in the world. Be it Switzerland, Spain, Singapore or Canada. Within India, tourist destinations such as Goa, Pondicherry, Sikkim are the most peaceful places. While academics is a priority, overall student development is what, even the Ministry of HRD is also encouraging. Tourism will play a vital role in graceful grooming of the child. As our children grows, tourism literate youth will become better citizens of this country. Indian Tourism Olympiad is the first step in educating our student on this great service oriented subject.

Indian Tourism Olympiad is open to all School Students in India. School can paricipate by submitting the list of Students interested in Toursim Olympiad. Ideally its open for Class 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 students.
