Implementation Guidelines for PM SHRI Phase - I - 2024-25 

OBJECTIVE: Involving the community in schools can greatly enhance the educational experience for students and strengthen the bond between the school and its surroundings.

 PROGRAMMATIC NORMS: 

  1. ● Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs)events 
  2. ● Volunteer Programs in school (both curricular or extracurricular) 
  3. ● Community Service Projects by students 
  4. ● Library and Resource Centers visit 
  5. ● After-School Programs 
  6. ● Shared Facilities between neighborhood schools (specially schools with low resources) 
  7. ● Education Workshops by parents 
  8. ● Visit to old age home 
  9. ● visit to orphanage 
  10. ● Visit to Government School in the vicinity of the vidyalaya. Available fund can be utilized for 
  11. ● Honorarium to guest speakers in education workshop by parents 
  12. ● Supplies for community service projects by students.

FINANCIAL NORMS: ● ₹10,000/- (0.1 Lac) per Vidyalaya.

Implementation Guidelines for PM SHRI Phase - I - 2024-25 

OBJECTIVES: 

  • eGranthalay is a powerful tool for transforming traditional libraries into modern, efficient digital hubs. 
  • It automates library operations, creating digital catalogs, managing members, and facilitating online services. 
  • By offering a cloud-based platform, eGranthalay ensures accessibility and scalability. 
  • It also enables libraries to build digital repositories, expanding their collections beyond physical boundaries. 
  • Ultimately, eGranthalay empowers libraries to better serve their users and contribute to knowledge dissemination 

PROGRAMMATIC NORMS: 

As per the new e-Granthalaya Policy Rs.21,275/= are charged from each library using eG4 on NIC Cloud - as one time payment for a five years period. These charges are paid to NICSI towards hosting, maintenance and Help-Desk support. 

● Users may send a scan copy of duly filled PI Request Form along with covering letter at egranthalaya@nic.in and sibli@nic.in to initiate the implementation process. 

Remaining amount may be utilised for procurement of subscriptions of various digital magazines as per requirement of the vidyalaya.

OBJECTIVES: To enable multi-mode access to education for the students, digital TV shall be purchased by all the schools to broadcast PM e-Vidya channels for classes 1st to 12th.

After installation, a detailed instructional video has been prepared to assist viewers in accessing the 200 PM eVidya DTH TV Channels on their television.

Age Appropriateness: Select periodicals appropriate for the age and reading level of the students in the school. 

Local and Global Perspectives: Include periodicals that offer both local and global perspectives to help students develop a broader understanding of the world. 

Quality and Reputation: Choose periodicals from reputed publishers known for high-quality content and responsible reporting. 

Subscription Management: Consider the frequency of publication and manage subscriptions efficiently to ensure timely delivery and accessibility. 

● Student and Teacher Input: Gather feedback from students and teachers on the periodicals available in the library and adjust selections as needed. 

Budget Allocation: Allocate the library grant judiciously to maximize the variety and number of periodicals while staying within budget.
