TOPICS OF DEBATE IN ENGLISH AND HINDI

1. Should students take part in politics?

They are the future of our country

I am a student ,as a student ,I strongly feel that student should participate in political activities. In India 70% voters are the youth of India ,almost the majority of the population. If every youngster thinks that politic is a wrong idea ,than after some years only politicians of 45 and more age will be left in politics.Having the knowledge oh politics help them to know their country well.

No it will affect them

Students shouldn't take part in politics because it will have a negative affect on them. They're still growing up, learning about the outside world and still in the stage of developing a character. In today's world politics is unstable. Students may join several groups looking for a way to change their lives without knowing the consequences. Therefore I conclude that students shouldn't participate.

AEP-Day against Drug abuse

June 26
 International Day
against
Drug abuse
 and
 Illicit Trafficking,

AEP CLUB TO PRESENT  A PROGRAME

"Efforts against illicit drugs must be connected to our work to promote opportunities through equitable and sustainable development. We must continually strive to make the weak and fragile stronger." — UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon

2016 Theme — Listen First
'Listen First' is an initiative to increase support for prevention of drug use that is based on science and is thus an effective investment in the well-being of children and youth, their families and their communities.
By resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987, the General Assembly decided to observe 26 June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse. This resolution recommended further action with regard to the report and conclusions of the 1987 International Conference on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The UN General Assembly held a Special Session (UNGASS) on drugs in April 2016. This Special Session marked an important milestone in achieving the goals set in the policy document of 2009 "Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem", which defined action to be taken by Member States as well as goals to be achieved by 2019.

The outcome document recommends measures
  •  to address demand and supply reduction, and
  •  to improve access to controlled medicines while preventing diversion.
  • The recommendations also cover the areas of human rights, youth, children, women and communities; emerging challenges, including new psychoactive substances;
  • strengthening international cooperation; and alternative development.

The text puts new emphasis on proportionate national sentencing policies and practices for drug-related offences, and features a strong focus on prevention and treatment.

MAN DIAGNOSED WITH EYE CANCER BECAUSE OF DOING THIS AT NIGHT !

40-year-old man was diagnosed with eye cancer with pinkeye. There are many scientific studies indicate that green light from mobile screen can result in death of human’s retinal cells, affect our vision. When we use mobile phone in dim light condition for a long time, electron beam will shine directly into our eye, it will make conjunctival become prolonged dry, cause eye cancer and blind.
This unnamed 40-year-old man visited the doctor when he couldn’t see clearly, albumen turned red because of serious injuries. Whereby, he always use mobile phone for 30 minutes in the dark before going to sleep. It was prolonged, made his macular’s eye degraded, lead to impaired vision and signs of eye cancer.
The doctors can’t seem to do anything in this case because replacing retina is an extremely difficult job for our current medicine.

extraordinary teachers are extraordinary for another reason

Most of us would agree that excellent teachers are masters of their subject matter. They know how to challenge, engage and inspire students, too.

But extraordinary teachers are extraordinary for another reason: They know that patience, kindness and mindfulness are transcendental values that must be present in themselves, their classrooms, and their students.

Ten Characteristics of Extraordinary Teachers*

The International Center for Leadership in Education has recently completed a study of what makes a teacher extraordinary. The study was built on three earlier studies that explored (a) the reasons some schools had high-achieving students in spite of high poverty and other markers that seem to preclude success, (b) the ways these schools were able to close the achievement gap between advantaged and disadvantaged students, and (c) the observations of students in these studies who were interviewed about their learning and their teachers’ teaching.

From these explorations, the new study identifies 10 characteristics of extraordinary teachers:

1.    Student-Teacher Relationships. The teacher creates an atmosphere of mutual respect in which students and teachers are involved together in the learning process.

2.    Commitment to Student Success. The teacher believes and acknowledges that all students will succeed and works to accomplish this success.

3.    Passion, Enthusiasm, and Competence. The teacher demonstrates an infectious interest and passion in the subject matter and relays that attitude to students, staff, and other adults.

4.    Awareness of Time. The teacher provides bell-to-bell instruction in the classroom and plans time to ensure that the curriculum is covered within the semester or school year.

5.    Exceptional Organization. The teacher has systems (often self-designed) for maximizing instructional time.

6.    Seamless Use of Tools and Opportunities. The teacher has at hand a full complement of instructional strategies and is able to take advantage of classroom opportunities to extend discussion and understanding.

7.    High Verbal Skills, Clear Voice. The teacher has a widely developed vocabulary, a clear voice, and the ability to explain concepts well.

8.    Sense of Theatre. The teacher holds the students’ attention through a style that includes a sense of theater, an awareness of audience, and an atmosphere of liveliness.

9.    Experience. The teacher demonstrates maturity gained though several years of teaching.

10.  Pleasantly Neurotic. The teacher is likely on occasion to bend rules or change procedures in order to benefit students, but is, at the same time, a team player and not a rabble-rouser.
