APCCI News Update | September 30, 2026 | New Delhi
What's the update?
The Ministry of Education is developing a nationwide Computer-Based Testing (CBT) infrastructure strategy to transition the NEET-UG examination from its current pen-and-paper format to an online mode. Following recent paper leaks, this move aims to create a standardized, leak-proof system while addressing test-center availability and equity implications for rural and low-connectivity districts. The final migration plan currently awaits recommendations from the Nandan Nilekani-led task force, the Health Ministry, and the National Medical Commission.
