Kitab Lovers Mega Book fair "Load the Box" kick starts at CP67 Mall, Mohali

Mohali, August 31, 2024: The Nine-day mega book fair, organised by Kitab Lovers kick started today in Mohali at CP67 amid much much fanfare. 

The mega book fair, being organized at CP67 Mall in Mohali from August 31 to September 8, 2024, aims at selling books at the most affordable prices besides offering a variety of books across various genres to book lovers.

While giving information about the book fair, Rahul Pandey, co-founder of Kitab Lovers, says, “I am overwhelmed to see the public response on the first day of the fair, and I am sure more readers will throng the event from different corners of Punjab and its neighboring states.  

Over one million new and pre-loved books across more than 20 genres will be showcased at the book fair. The USP of the fair is its innovative out-of-the-box concept, known as 'Load the Box', under which customers can pay a fixed price for a box and take as many books as they can fit into that box. The boxes have been economically  priced between ₹1200 and ₹3000.”

While adding more details Mr. Pandey says, “This being our first event in Mohali, I am very keen to see the response of book readers in this part of the country.  Our book fair not only provides books at affordable prices but also caters to a wide range of book lovers. There will be books by seasoned and awarded publishers and authors, which surely prove to be the cherry on the cake for the fans and readers. 

Rajpal Publishing: The oldest Hindi publishing house, established in 1912, is now a part of our book fair.

Penguin Hindi Books: A separate section for Penguin's Hindi books is being presented at this year's fair.

“Be it students, professionals, kids, parents or grandparents, the fair is  not going to disappoint any of the book lovers,” added Pandey. 

Most talked about stalls at the fair

1) Top 50 Trending Books in India: A separate collection featuring the 50 most popular books in India will be available.

2) Books on Share Marketing: There will also be a special section for books related to the stock market and investment.

Rahul Pandey further stated, "Since computers and digital gadgets overshadowed the literary world, Books, any day, remain the first choice of book lovers. The ecstasy you feel while flipping pages of a book and the smell of a new book can never be replaced by any form of technology or reading gadget. We urge everyone, especially students and parents   to visit our book fair and see how you can fall in love with reading once again."

Meeting with the authors

Bestselling authors Sudeep Nagarkar and Aditya Nighot will grace the fair with their presence as chief guests on September 7. This could be a unique opportunity for book lovers to meet their favorite authors and get their favorite books signed by them.

1. Public toilets are not as clean as they should have been. People need to understand use and upkeep of toilets. Sujjal xii 

2. Community water bodies like Pond water in rural areas is not clean. Ushman xii 

3. Village streets are not 100 percent tiled and cleaned regularly.

4. Waste management vehicle operators are not adhering to the waste management SOPs.

5. E-waste management should be taken up seriously. 

6. RRRRR in plastic and other usage.

7. Urban Drainage system needs to be optimized and made cloggingproof.

8. Littering on the roadside by commuters and passengers of cars and buses. 

9. The slum area needs a more focused approach to cleanliness.

 

10. Technology in waste collection, dumping, and disposal.

11. Corruption: At all levels Compromise the mission. 

12. Attitude: Of majority stakeholders and the population is careless, compromising, and indifferent towards cleanliness. 

The awareness program is taken up through students for the very purpose of changing this attitude of people and making Mission Swachhta a success for our people and our country.

Literacy & Numeracy Level Concepts

मेरा पूरा विश्वास है की जिस बच्चे क़े अभिभावक और शिक्षक अगर बच्चे में Literacy और Numeracy की उनके कक्षा क़े अनुसार दक्षता सुनिश्चित कर दें तो बच्चा  स्वं ही अपनी रूचि का विषय भी तलाश सकता है और अपने करियर में भी शिखर ( रिसर्च / नवाचार)  तक पहुंच भी सकता है.

बच्चों में Literacy और Numeracy की कक्षा 1-5 तक बेसिक से FLN तक की समझ विकसित न होने क़े कारण ही बच्चे क्लास 6 से पढ़ाई में अपनी रूचि खोने लगते हैं, उधर वह बड़ा भी हो रहा है तो teenage का प्रभाव शुरू हो जाता है.

निर्धारित उम्र में निश्चित Competencies न होने क़े कारण जहाँ उसे अच्छी हॉबीज जैसे फिक्शन रीडिंग, आर्ट क्राफ्ट, कलीग्राफ़िक राइटिंग, साइंस, सोशल साइंस मॉडल्स मेकिंग book रीडिंग ........आदि जो भी पढ़ाई और गणना से सम्बंधित एक्टिविटीज हैं, में समय गुजरना चाहिए था, वह इसके स्थान पर बाहर क़े दोस्त जो लगभग उसी जैसे हैं, उनकी तलाश कर लेता है, फिर वो सब मिल कर समय की बर्बादी, कोई गैरजिम्मेदार हरकत, या कोई हमेशा चलने वाला खेल, जिसमे सिखने क़ो कुछ न मिले... जैसी एक्टिविटीज पकड़ लेते हैं.

NEP 2020 में इस बात का ख्याल रखा जा रहा है की शिक्षक और स्कूलों बच्चों में प्राइमरी वर्ग तक  FLN तो सुनिश्चित कर दें. 

FLN पर बहुत जोर दिया जा रहा है आजकल ,जबकि ये किसी भी शिक्षा पद्धति का मूल मन्त्र रहना होता है.

Literacy क़े लिए : LSRW - और  

Numeracy क़े लिए  कम से कम

Decimal Counting

Roman Counting

Hindi Counting 

Binary Numbers 

Hindi & English calendar systems

Shapes and Patterns...........etc.

ज़रूर ही आना चाहिए. 

ताकि वह अपने विषयों क़ो एन्जॉय कर सके.....

जैसे ही पढ़ाई से रस ख़तम हुआ बच्चा दुसरे रास्ते तलाश करना शुरू कर देता है. 

अब यह आप पर है आप उसे कोनसे रास्ते पर ले जाते हैं या वो स्वं जाता है.
